  • Please note that we cannot help you with the day-to-day planning of your trip. On our blog, you can find many suggested itineraries for various destinations. This should help to get you started and you can create your own itinerary that is right for you.
  • Please note that we do not organize or book trips. We only provide information to help you plan your own trip. We’re a travel blog, not a travel agency. However, we are affiliated with some of the best companies in the travel industry and you can book your hotels, car rental, tours, etc. using our hand-picked selections that we link to from our articles. This should save you a lot of time and guesswork when planning a trip. Please check our Travel Resources page for the best companies that we use and recommend.
  • As the very last resource, you can also contact us by e-mail, but it might take longer to get an answer. We always try to read all our e-mails in a timely manner and will do our best to answer all the genuine emails as soon as possible. However, if you don’t hear from us, it probably means that we are traveling. Please don’t send any reminders as that just clogs up out mailbox even further and will delay our response.
  • We get so many emails and there are only so many hours in a day, so we apologize in advance if your email doesn’t get answered. If you are a reader looking for information for your trip, we will normally answer at the earliest convenience, even if we can’t help you. In the meantime, we encourage you to search the blog, read the comments of other readers, that are a great resource of information.

ARE YOU A TRAVEL WRITER LOOKING TO PUBLISH A GUEST POST?

A Life Beautifully Travelled does accept guest posts. If you are a fellow travel writer looking for an outlet, please get in touch and tell us about your idea. But before contacting us, please read our guest posting requirements carefully. We will only respond to those requests that clearly show that you have read this!

  • We DO NOT accept guest posts with any commercial links. So no businesses, no matter how big or small. No exceptions. If – and only if – you are a travel blogger looking to grow your personal travel blog and are willing and capable to provide a high-quality guest post, will we consider your submission.
  • We’re looking for a minimum of 1500 words. Depending on the topic, longer posts of around 3000 words are more likely to be accepted.
  • You must have visited the destination yourself
  • Your article must be written in the ‘you’ form and include lots of practical tips. We are not looking for personal stories, rather experience-based tips that are useful for our readers.
  • We prefer articles about destinations that already feature on our blog. Topics that are likely to be accepted include itineraries, road trips, city guides, day trips, National Park guides, but also guides to a specific landmark, an activity or a hike, etc.
  • All articles must be original content. They must not have been posted previously anywhere on the internet and cannot be posted anywhere else in the future. We will check for plagiarism.
  • Please make sure to craft your article in a professional manner, proofread for grammatical errors and sentence structure.
  • You must supplement your article with at least 7 nice images. 5 photos for the body of the text, one header image (1920px), and one vertical image for Pinterest (735 px wide). The photos must be your own or you must own the copyright for them. No watermarks or recognizable people. We might add our own pictures or stock images.
  • If you are doing a top 10 post, we need photos to go with each number. Eg. “14 things to do” 14 photos plus a separate featured image photo and bio photo.
  • Photos should be 1920px wide for horizontal photos. 1024px wide for vertical. File size should not exceed 300kb. They can be sent via WeTransfer.
  • Send a YouTube Video Link if you want to include video and your YouTube URL so we can generate subscriptions to your page.
  • Make sure to include a bio, which we will include at the bottom of the post.
  • Each article will include one link to your personal blog (links must have something to do with the article and give further information to help the reader). And the author bio will link to your home page and your social channels.
  • All articles should be submitted via Word and clearly indicate where in the article the photos should be placed.
  • Please take a look at some examples of guest posts that we love. If you think you can provide similar quality, we’d love to hear from you
  • We will always edit for SEO, consistency, and add affiliate links and internal links, as well as external links if truly useful to the reader.
